The BLACK NOISE process was co-developed by engineers at Meyer Sound, global leaders in sound technology. This sonic-enhancement process produces low hertz sound waves causing the whiskey to reverberate at a fast rate, interacting with the oak staves of the barrel, measurably releasing wood compounds and flavors like toasted coconut, vanilla, butterscotch, and caramel. The result is a magnificently balanced whiskey that’s robust in flavor and ideal for sipping neat, on the rocks, or in a classic signature cocktail.

BLACKENED X Wes Henderson
The BLACKENED x Wes Henderson is the second release in BLACKENED Whiskey’s Masters of Whiskey Series, which was created in partnership with Master Distiller & Blender, Rob Dietrich, and recently retired Angel’s Envy Co-Founder, Wes Henderson.
This limited edition expression is crafted from a 6 year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey and finished in white Port wine casks, bottled at cask strength, and non-chill filtered.
To support the rebuilding efforts in Western Kentucky, something near and dear to Wes & Rob, BLACKENED donated $25,000 to Team Rubicon, a veteran-led, non-profit organization that serves global communities before, during and after disasters and crises.
Metallica and All Within My Hands matched this donation in kind, making the overall total donation of $50,000.

BLACKENED Kentucky Straight Rye Double Cask Finished Whiskey, aptly dubbed RYE THE LIGHTNING™, is the latest limited release from BLACKENED® American Whiskey.
Inspired by Metallica’s 6x platinum sophomore album, Ride the Lightning, this expression was double cask finished to its own unique playlist which is blasted to the barrels using BLACKENED’s proprietary BLACK NOISE™ sonic enhancement process.
Crafted from Kentucky straight rye whiskeys aged between 5-8 years and hand-selected by BLACKENED Master Distiller & Blender Rob Dietrich.
TASTING NOTES
The double cask finishing results in notes of dried fig, hay, pinewood, pear, and rum cake on the nose, and on the palate, clover honey, mint, corn husk, sugar cane, walnut, and cinnamon.
